Project Description

32TEN Studios is a leading provider of practical effects to the motion picture industry, anchoring some of the most dynamic special effects scenes in cinematic history to reality. The studio is located on the legendary lot in Marin County where Industrial Light & Magic built its state of the art production facility for the creation of ground-breaking visual effects.

Led by CEO Tim Partridge and COO Greg Maloney, 32TEN has provided practical effects to Jurassic World, Tomorrowland, The Maze Runner, Transformers: Age of Extinction and many more films.

The company came to Farinella asking about a new website that would help them market their services and serve as a publicity launch pad.

Partridge extended the scope of work to include a refined logo — cleaning up an original sloppy execution — and collateral materials (business cards, letterhead, invoices), social media guidance, and public relations efforts when projects hit the big screen.

We didn’t want to pull the logo too far from the company’s original, because the concept was strong. We cleaned up the font to make it more legible, and squared it up to work better on mobile devices and in social media.

As with any website project, clarity and readability were crucial. We simplified navigation and wrote crisp copy to give maximum information in minimal time.

Because 32TEN is in the entertainment business, we needed to have some fun in the design. So, we added an explosion parallax video and goofy counter on the About page.

Since the new logo and website launch, Farinella continues to offer marketing collateral and public relations support. We’ve written and serviced press releases covering 32TEN’s work on Jurassic World and Tomorrowland. We’ve also contributed to 32TEN’s email newsletters.

We’ve also taken the lead in pushing the launch of 32TEN Entertainment — the Partridge led content development and production company — in the press and on the website.
